■Experiment 2 Does dilution rate change with power?
I thought the main reason was the difference in discharge pressure.
If this is low, not only will the foam be less dense, but the amount of detergent that will be sucked out of the bottle will also be different. In other words, Karcher's detergent is weak because of its weak suction power, and Ryobi's detergent is thick. It was actually the other way around.
The ratio of water exhaled to detergent absorbed by this foam lance can be verified in a simple way.
Fill the foam lance bottle with water and continue squirting it into the bucket until it runs out. The ratio is obtained from the amount of water accumulated in this bucket and the amount of water put into the foam lance. It was a method that was shown on the overseas car wash YouTube channel "Alfie Detailing", but I thought it was awesome. Let's quickly check this method.
Put 500ml of water in the foam lance, set the mixing ratio adjustment knob to the thickest, and spray it into the bucket. If you measure the amount of water in the bucket with a measuring cup, Karcher is roughly 5.5 liters.
On the other hand, Ryobi is about 6 liters. Aw. Far from absorbing too much detergent, it is rather thin. I was surprised, so I repeated the test three times including the Karcher, but the result did not change.
So here's the dilution ratio for the Autobright Direct Heavy Duty Snow Foam Lance.
